What does Sahale mean?
It is a Northwest Native American word that has a variety of derivations and meanings – like falcon, sacred, and high lofty place. We just like the name and sound of Sahale, and of course the mountain.

What’s with the names of your Nut Blends --Valdosta, Ksar, Soledad, Socorro, and Sing Buri?
Each Blend is evocative of a unique part of the world or great culinary tradition.
So, for instance, our award winning Valdosta Blend, our Southern Pecan Blend, is inspired by Valdosta, Georgia, a place where Edmond and Josh spent time early in their careers when they were TV reporters in Savannah, Georgia.
Ksar is a common Moroccan word, literally translated as “castle” but describes a Berber village and is often part of the name of small towns across the region. Our Ksar Blend is inspired by Moroccan cuisine which Josh first learned to enjoy during several trips to Morocco in the early 1980’s.
Our Sing Buri Blend is named for a province in Thailand, and offers all the complexities of an Asian inspired meal with notes of lemongrass, ponzu, sake, and a smoky, mild Chinese chili. Edmond and Josh have long been gigantic fans of all types of Asian cooking.
